Short Bio:Diane B. Paul is Professor Emerita of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Boston and Research Associate in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. Her research, which focuses on historical and policy issues in genetics, has appeared in a wide range of historical, policy-oriented, and scientific journals. Her books include Controlling Human Heredity: 1865 to the Present(1995) and The Politics of Heredity: Essays on Eugenics, Biomedicine, and the Nature-Nurture Debate(1998).
